Abstract Art by Loretta Calvert
Home

Welcome to my original online gallery. I encourage you to visit the new www.lorettacalvert.com website.  It's spectacular and has even more art!

I started painting with oils in May 2005. I then moved onto acrylics in July 2005.  In six months, I sold over one hundred paintings on the Internet throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia. I have no formal art training or degree other than a few watercolor classes in college. The two degrees I hold are a BA in English from Pace University and a JD from NYU, School of Law.  Any technique I use I gleaned from books, extracted from studying abstract artists, or uncovered by experimentation.

Wonderful people are attracted to my art.  January 2006 my art was part of a group show in Nashville at the Plowhaus. All four pieces sold in one hour! Upcoming shows are on for April, June and July.  Don't forget to bid for new works at ebay or email me if you see an abstract piece online and want to buy it.

Some of the successful and sold out series of paintings I've done include: Trees, Landscapes, and Virtues & Vices.
